Casa Portugesa is located 3 miles north of Tulum, along Tankah Bay.
The house is situated on one acre of property which includes 40 meters
of ocean frontage. The grounds are lush and green, filled with palms
and other tropical plants which keep the property shady and cool and
very private. The grounds are also home to a number of bird species
making this a great place to enjoy the diverse flora and fauna of the
area.
Casa Portugesa is an easy casual beach house designed for comfort,
privacy and livability. You will never worry about walking to this
great beach house with sandy feet. Make your self at home and enjoy it!
For the safety of small children and relaxation of their parents the
pool and garden areas are well fenced, allowing children to play freely
all within in the safety of enclosed garden area.
Casa Portuguesa is a two level beach house. On the main level are
the well equipped kitchen which opens through to the dining and living
area which is air conditioned. From here an exterior door will take you
to the patio area which has a gated entry into the swimming pool.
There are three bedrooms on the upper level, all air conditioned for
your comfort: the master suite with king bed and ocean view and one
guest bedroom is furnished with two single beds and the other with one
queen. There is one full bath on each level.
There are two televisions with DVD players; in the living area and master bedroom.
The caretakers live on site and are available to prepare meals;
laundry service is available as well. Two highly trained dogs are also
on the property for security. These are well trained pets that have
also served to ensure your security in this private location.
Just down the street from Casa Portuguesa are two restaurants, Casa
Cenote and the Italian restaurant at Blue Sky Hotel which is
exceptional! There are also two dive shops, at the Tankah Inn and the
Casa Cenote.
Tankah Bay is a great place for snorkeling with easy access into the
bay just 50 yards down the beach from Casa Portuguesa. This is a soft
sandy area that is perfect for putting in a kayak from Casa Cenote or
snorkeling. Also just across from Casa Cenote is the manatee cenote; a
fresh water spring that is cool and refreshing and a very fun place to
explore.
